Firmware Update Instructions:

To update your product’s firmware, follow the instructions in your product’s user manual. To find your user manual, visit https://www.netgear.com/support/, enter your model number in the search box, and click the Documentation button on the product page.

• When you unbox your AP, if the FW version is lower than V1.0.4.1, be sure to perform the following firmware update procedure before updating to V1.0.4.17. .
  1. Back up the configuration file
  2. Upgrade the firmware
  3. Reset the device to factory defaults
  4. Clear your browser cache
  5. Enter the device's IP address to log in to the device browser user interface
  6. Restore the configuration file
• When firmware V1.0.4.1 is installed already, update to the latest firmware. All settings will be retained properly after a successful update.

Notes:

The AP’s default IP address is 192.168.0.100.

From firmware v1.0.4.8 and above, the DHCP client is enabled by default, and the default SSID is secured by WPA/WPA2-PSK. You can use the default SSID and passphrase printed on the back panel of the AP to connect your wireless client to the AP.

When there is no DHCP server you can use the default IP address (192.168.0.100) to log into the AP.

When you use a DHCP server but don't know the IP address assigned to the AP, you can enter “aplogin.net” in the browser address window on your wireless client to log into the AP.

The AP can be returned to factory default settings when necessary. Find the reset button at the back of the AP, and then press and hold the button for ~10 secs. The power LED blinks green during the reset process and then lights solid green when the process is complete.

In the following scenarios, the AP reboots automatically for the configuration to take effect:

    a.     Firmware upgrade

    b.     Reset factory defaults

    c.     Restore configuration
